In a recent leak from a Weibo tipster reported by Gizmochina, Huawei is rumored to launch its next-generation flagship phone series, the P70, in the early quarter of 2024. The tipster suggests a potential release timeframe around late March or early April 2024, asserting the reliability and accuracy of the disclosed information.
According to the leaks circulating so far, the Huawei P70 series is anticipated to showcase cutting-edge OLED panels sourced from prominent Chinese manufacturers such as BOE, COST, Visionax, and Tianma.
Despite these advancements, the display is not expected to adopt the commonly seen 2K resolution for top-tier devices. Instead, the P70 series is rumored to feature a 1.5K resolution, bringing a unique aspect to its visual capabilities.
Known for its emphasis on photography, the Huawei P series flagship devices have garnered attention for their camera capabilities. The P70 is rumored to be powered by the Kirin 9000S chipset, the same processor driving the Mate 60 lineup.
Earlier this month, additional leaks revealed the design of the P70 series, showcasing a rear panel housing the Sony IMX989 primary camera along with the OmniVision OV50H sensor. The IMX989 sensor is notably the same sensor found in the Oppo Find X6 Pro, adding to the anticipated camera prowess of the upcoming Huawei flagship.
